A man, known as Antonio Cochran has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing and killing an 18-year-old girl who was on her way to church but diverted so as to return a Redbox movie in October 11, 2015.
A presiding Dallas County jury spent only about six minutes on the case and ended up sentencing 37-year-old Antonio Cochran to life in prison for murdering the young teenage lad named Zoe Hastings.
While the parents of the diseased lad parents called for Cochran to be sentenced to life, the convicted murderer will be eligible for parole after serving at least 30 years. At first, the prosecutors sought for death as the penalty for the offense, but upon discovering that the convict is intellectually disabled, the course was reversed.
After the abduction, Cochran drove the young lad to a nearby creek bed and sexually assaulted her before slashing her throat, as stated by authorities.
Zoe’s parents went looking for her several hours later, seeing that she didn’t return for dinner. After some moments of thorough search. they managed to reach her through her phone.
Immediately, the police swam into search and when they arrived the scene of the event at the creek bed, they saw Zoe’s body full of blood with a knife nearby.
